The ALVIN CLARK was a top sail schooner built on the Great Lakes in 1846. The laser cut hull is based on research and measurements taken from the actual wreckage. This hull kit is built timber for timber and an exact scale model of the original vessel. The 1/4 inch scale hull measures 29 long x 6 high x 3 1/2 wide and cut from Cherry wood. Each kit comes with a set of plans drafted in CAD and color coded to the laser parts. Building of the hull is straight forward and no step by step building instructions are included. Rigging the model is left up to the builder.
THE KIT WILL BE OFFERED IN TWO DIFFERENT WAYS

KIT 1 For those with small tools and willing to cut their own planking, rails, moldings and finish material a set of laser cut sheets are available for building a complete skeleton on the hull. Choice of materials and degree of finishing is left to the builder.

KIT 2 The second kit is complete in all the laser parts, plans and milled material to plank the hull inside and out, plus the decking and cabin roof and floor planking, moldings etc. Also in the complete kit are laser cut mini kits for the windlass and deck winches.
