The Lumber Yard is a small Ma and Pa cottage business primarily for the model ship builder, however our collection of wood and mill services are used in all aspects of fine woodworking. Being a one man one woman operation, we sometimes find ourselves busy as little beavers trying our best to meet reasonable delivery times. On an average orders are shipped in two to three weeks sometimes the next day, not often but it does happen. We are continually searching out rare, exotic and unusual woods to give your project that special touch. Now let's meet ma and pa.
Hello I am Dave
I have been building model ships all my life. I worked 29 years in the graphic arts field always rushing home to work on my ship models. Now after years of stealing what time I could to build models I took the leap of faith and went into ship building and wood working full time. This little business is the result. If you have any questions about where your order is or when it was sent or billing I can't answer that because I am not allowed in the office because Ev said so. I work a full time job outside the Lumber Yard but when I get home I check the e-mails, answer your messages and sort through the snail mail. Then I process the orders, run the office and in general I take care of the business. If you have any questions concerning your order I will check it out and find the answers. If you have questions I can't answer I can open the window and yell to Dave in the barn. Do not place any orders with Dave, because I very rarely get those orders. If it doesn't come straight to me, your chances of getting your order are slim to none. He is the technical brain of the business, I am the pencil pusher.
