Plank On Frame Timbering Sets |
The objective is to provide the model builder either an alternative from building plank-on-bulkhead kits or having to develop plans and materials for scratch building.
The timbering sets are custom made to order from a selection of fine hardwoods. They are designed to maintain the integrity of scratch building, by offering precision laser cut deck beams, stern frames, keel assembly and the building jig. Milled stock is provided for framing, hull timbering and upper hull planking. A timbering set includes the material to construct a complete skeleton of the hull.
The model plans are drawn by Harold Hahn and are based on the original Admiralty drawings. Plans have deck layouts, constructional drawings and all frames patterns are fully drawn. Plans are included with the timbering set.
