A private armed schooner of 1813
the Lively is a plank on bulkhead kit including laser cut parts, rigging line and block, milled hardwoods for hull and deck planking, preshaped stern blocks and cast fittings. A 54 page booklet and the 2 sheet plans by Jim Roberts give the builder concise, clear and easy to follow instructions.
With the novice ship builder in mind, an in progress, detailed web site on the building of the prototype of the Lively is available by logging on to dlumberyard.com and clicking on the Lively. Here you will find lots of pictures and tips on building. The fully rigged model measures 23 1/2 x 17 1/4 x 9 1/2 at 1/4 inch scale.
